We took the kids to our first Birmingham Barrons baseball game this season. The Birmingham Barrons are our local minor league team. We took the kids to a lot of games last year. David, at two years old, would sit through an entire baseball game & watch! Grace was young enough, we could put her in a carrier & she would sleep though most of the game.
This year, things are a little different. We now have a three year old that has a very hard time sitting still. He has also noticed the bounce house area next to the field. (Mommy is a bit of a liar...I told him it was closed even though it's not) Grace is now walking & will not sit still for anything! Justin & I were able to box them into our row so they both could walk around a bit & climb up into their seat.
It was $5 pizza night, so you an guess what our dinner was! haha By the third inning, David was asking to go home. Of course, that was not happening! We managed to sit through the entire game. After the game, there were fireworks, which both kids enjoyed. David is & always has been a little unsure of the fireworks. He loves to watch them, but he doesn't really understand them. He clings onto one of us & whippers during the show. After the fireworks are over, it's all he can talk about!
Everyone enjoyed the game. I don't think we will go to many games this year but hopefully we will get to attend a couple.
